At first the was none...
Now we have a few. Yes. Our very first gold medal from the Beijing Paralympics. All thanks to Swimmer Yip Pin Xiu. She who suffers from muscular dystrophy won gold in the 50-meters backstroke with her new world and Paralympic record time of 58.75 seconds. She also clinched silver and a new world and Paralympic record of 57.04 seconds in the 50-meters freestyle. Not to forget rider Laurentia Tan who despite her profound deafness and cerebral palsy aced two bronze medals in equestrian. Your hardwork has paid off. You manage to overcome the difficulties both mentally and physical to that I feel you are already a winner in your own right. To you two I give my deepest respect.
