Tawain Delights
I was at Lot1 these evening when I saw a new stall in the new food court on level 4, Tawain Delights. Well decided to give it a try. Order the pork chop rice. The pork chop was a little hard to bite through and rather oily. But that was not the main thing. The display of it in a japanese bento box with the 2 different preserved vegs, stir fry lettuce, rice and pork, suddenly memories came gushing back. The corner stall in Sydney near the lift lobby near the pork stall., near the escalator, Along the same street as Haymarket, the thai supermarket and the Pacific hotel. (More or less there. Could only remember these few places beside it.)
It will be pack to the rim full of customers. The food still average but price quite worth it. The lady will take your order at the door and hand you the slip of yellow order sheet. Then it is time to wait it out till your number is called. Esp the rice taste exactly the same as that. Memories came flowing back. Looking at the empty chairs besides me I realised again that " Being alone is only when there are empty chairs around you."
In the this week's episode of Tuesday Report Patient No.1 was revealed. She is brave. I salute you. I don't think I can be as strong as you have been. Wishing you all the best the many more good times ahead.
Say No to Shark Fins. Resorts World at Sentosa will not be serving it on their menus in their resturant. BUT a big but here. It will be available to high rollers who spend lots in their casinos. So well... Mmmm.... one of the first few after Hong Kong Disneyland, but why the exception? Ok... A step forward is better then none rite?
In the tech world, after HTC and IPhone comes Blackberry with touch functions. And Windows 7 in 2010 also with what it calls "Muti-Touch". So there goes your mouse and keyboard. Everything via touch, zooming photos, fliping pages, spinning etc. Wonder how much will it cost? Will it be like Vista that not much people have liked and stayed with XP? Well we will have to wait for a few years more to know.
I have 300 more years (not that I can life that long) to visit Leaning Tower od Pisa, Italy. The Italian engineers have after untilt it to what is was in 1700. It has been reported that it is the first time since the 12th century (making that like ....erm... I not too sure how long ago) that the tower stopped moving. The massive project started in 1990 and ended in 2001 to untilt it by 40 cm. Built between 1174 and 1370 the tower was closed to public during the whole untilting process. Wah rite? Better visit is soon
